Discounts and customer rates
A discount code is something you hand out. A customer rate is a lower (or different) price for everyone you have tagged, such as members or staff. Both come off before the PayNow QR is made, so there is nothing to refund.

Make a discount code
Go to Discounts and press Add a code.
-
Type The code, choose % off or S$ off, and pick What it works on: All my services, Chosen services or An event day.
Ten percent off the Christmas wreath event, for the first 30 people. Under When it runs, set a start and an end if you want. Leave the dates empty for a code that runs until you switch it off. Set How many times it can be used, counted across everybody. Press Save code.
-
Your codes are grouped Upcoming, Active and Expired. Hand them out yourself: they are never shown on your booking page. The customer types it under Have a discount code? and presses Apply.
The code comes off before they pay.
A booking that expires unpaid, or is cancelled, gives its use back, so the count is always what has really been taken.
Give tagged customers their own price
Tag the customer on their contact record, for example Member.
Go to Customer rates and press Add a rate. Type Which tag, exactly as on the contact record.
-
Answer How is their price worked out?: A percentage off everything, A fixed amount off everything, or I will type an exact price for each service. For the last one, type the prices on the Services page.
Everyone tagged Member gets 10% off. When a tagged customer books with the email on their contact record, the price changes to theirs before they pay.
A rate needs an email address. Adding a rate makes the email compulsory on your booking page, because the email is how we know who is booking. Rates apply to services, not to event days.

The cheaper one.
