Help/Bookings/Refunds and reviews
Refunds and reviews
When a paid appointment is cancelled, Bookings asks the customer where to send their money, and keeps a list for you. After an appointment, you can ask for a review and choose which ones show on your page.

Send a refund
-
When a paid appointment is cancelled, the cancellation email asks the customer for their PayNow mobile. They sign in on their booking page with a six-digit code we email them, type the number, and confirm it is their own. If they cannot, you can key it in for them.
The customer tells you where to send it. -
It shows on Overview under Refunds to send, and on the Refunds tab of Appointments. Press Copy number, send the money from your own banking app, then press I have sent it. They are emailed a receipt.
Send it from your bank, then mark it sent. Not heard back? Press Ask them where to send it to email them again, or Key their number in yourself. Giving part back? Press Refund a different amount. Nothing owed? Press No refund due and write the reason; they are emailed exactly that.
Bookings never refunds anybody by itself. You send the money. If you have Put booking money into my P&L on, the refund goes into your accounts as its own line on the day you send it.
Ask for a review
After an appointment, open it on Appointments and press Ask for a review. Nothing is ever sent on its own.
-
The customer taps a star rating on their booking page, adds a few words if they like, and presses Send it. They do not need to sign in.
A rating takes a few seconds.
Choose which reviews show
-
Go to Reviews. Under When should a review go on your page?, choose Straight away, all of them, Good ones straight away, the rest wait for me (and the star level), or Nothing without me.
Four stars and up go straight up; the rest wait for you. For each one waiting, press Put it on my page or Turn it down. Press Take it down to remove one later. A turned-down review is kept here, not deleted.
Questions
What if the customer typed the wrong PayNow number?
They confirmed it was their own number before sending it. Check the name your banking app shows before you pay. If it looks wrong, press Change the number.
Can I edit what a customer wrote?
No. You can choose whether it shows, but never change their words.
Who can leave a review?
Only someone whose appointment has finished. A no-show or a cancelled booking is never asked.
