Tables, the counter and the kitchen

If you seat people or sell over a counter: take table bookings on your website, let people order from their table by QR, ring up counter sales, and run every order through one kitchen display.

Table bookings

  1. Press Tables, then Seatings and settings, and Add a seating: a name like Dinner, the days, the time it starts, how many minutes, and People you can seat.

  2. Set the Biggest party online and How far ahead (days), then press Switch on. Your website now shows Book a table.

  3. On the day, Bookings shows each seating with how many people are booked and how many seats are left. Press Seated, No-show or Cancel; a cancelled customer is emailed.

Order at the table by QR

  1. On Tables, open Order at the table (QR), type your tables, like 1-12, and press Add. Press Print the codes and put each on its table.

  2. Customers scan, pick from the items ticked Table QR, and send each round to the kitchen. They see what is making, ready or served, and can ask for the bill.

  3. They pay at the counter: press Table bills on Counter, choose the table, and take payment.

Lost a card, or somebody ordering from home? Press New code on that table; the old code stops working.

The counter

  1. Press Counter. If your till needs a shift, count the cash and press Open.

  2. Tap items to add them, with any choices. Add a name to call and Eat here or Takeaway.

  3. Press Cash, PayNow or Card. Cash shows the change; PayNow shows a QR for the exact amount. The order number to call appears, and the order goes to the kitchen display.

    The counter: tap, take payment, and the order goes to the kitchen.

  4. At the end of the day, press Close the till and type the cash you count; any difference is shown.

The kitchen display

Press Kitchen display. Every order to make today is here, oldest first: website orders, counter orders and table rounds. Press Ready, then Collected (or Served for a table). Press Customer screen to open a big Preparing and Ready for collection board for a screen your customers can see.

Questions

Does a party of 3 take a 4-seat table?

Bookings count people per seating, not individual tables. Set People you can seat to what you can comfortably fit at that time.

Can customers pay at the table?

Not yet. They ask for the bill from their phone, and pay at the counter.
