Card and PayNow through HitPay

Let customers pay by card, or by PayNow that confirms itself, on your invoices, shop, bookings and packages. The money goes to your own HitPay account, then your bank: SME AI Office never holds it. No platform fee from SME AI Office, on any plan, the Free plan included. HitPay charges its own fee. Available in Singapore.

Connect HitPay

  1. Open a free HitPay account. HitPay has no monthly or setup fee. It asks for your business details and your bank account for payouts. The HitPay box on Getting paid has the same Open a free HitPay account button.

  2. In your HitPay dashboard, open Payments › Developers › API Keys and copy your API key.

  3. In SME AI Office, open Getting paid in the sidebar and choose 1. Card and PayNow, through HitPay. Only the account owner or a co-owner can.

  4. Paste the key and press Connect HitPay. We check it with HitPay first; once it is accepted the card says Connected with the last four characters of the key. The key itself is stored encrypted and never shown again.

  5. For card: in HitPay, finish the card verification under Payments › Payment Methods.

Already have HitPay? Skip step 1 and use the account you have. If you like, link SME AI Office as your partner: in HitPay, open Settings › Business Details › Link a partner and enter the code SMEAIO. It is optional and costs you nothing.

One setting for your whole business. Every pay page uses it. Pause stops HitPay without removing the key; Paste a new key replaces it if you change it in HitPay.

Card, PayNow or both

Under Use HitPay for, tick Card, PayNow or both. Card is ticked to start with. Anything you leave unticked uses your other ways to get paid, such as your own PayNow QR (free).

HitPay is on your invoices too, unless you untick Offer on invoices too.

Card needs HitPay’s verification first. In HitPay, open Payments › Payment Methods and finish the card verification. Until HitPay switches a way on, we do not offer it to your customers, and Getting paid says so. We check again every hour and switch it on by itself, or press Check again. We check by asking HitPay for a S$1 payment request and deleting it at once; nobody is charged.

Your books and refunds

The sale goes into your books exactly as any other sale does, and HitPay’s fee goes in as an expense under Bank Charges & Fees. A refund you make from the order, booking or invoice goes back through HitPay automatically.
