Questions

What is a simple POS for a small shop in Singapore?

SME AI Office POS runs in the browser on a laptop or tablet you already have. You tap, search or scan an item, take cash, a PayNow QR or card, and every sale goes into your profit and loss with its GST and its cost. Retail and F&B businesses use it.

Is the POS free?

Yes. The POS is on the Free plan: no monthly fee, no limit on items or sales, and no fee on cash or your own PayNow QR. Pro 365 (S$39 a month or S$365 a year) adds the full back office, such as the GST return, staff payroll and the AI assistant.

Does it work with a barcode scanner?

Yes. A USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner that types the code works on the POS. You can also search by name, SKU or barcode, or tap the item.

How do customers pay at the counter?

By cash, with the change worked out, by a PayNow QR for the exact amount, by card on your own card terminal, or by bank transfer. You can split one sale, such as part cash and part card.

Does it print GST receipts?

Yes. If you are GST-registered, the receipt is headed Tax Invoice. You can print it, email it, or let the customer open it on their phone, with or without a receipt printer.

Can I run more than one counter or shop?

Yes. You can have several POS stations, each selling from its own location’s stock, and each opens a shift with a cash float and closes it with a count.
