Help/F&B/Your website

Your website

Your website has four pages, laid out exactly like our example restaurants: a home page (your photos, words, bestsellers, story, reviews and FAQ), the menu, an order page where customers add dishes and choose pickup or delivery, and a page to book a table if you take bookings. Checkout, the order page and reviews carry your website's own top bar and footer, and ordering at a table by QR code looks the same too.

Choose a template

  1. Press Website in the sidebar. Under Template there are two: Café, soft and warm, and Tavern, bold with giant capital headings. On Tavern, once a customer scrolls past the top photo of your home page a Jump to button sits in the corner: it lists the parts that are showing, plus the menu, order and booking pages, so they get there in one tap, on a phone too.

  2. Press See the example to open a made-up restaurant in that template, or Preview with my menu to see your own menu in it. Both open in a new window, so this page stays where it is.

  3. Press Use this on the one you want.

Two templates, each with an example and a preview of your own menu.

Choose a colour and a headline

Each template has its own colours: Café, Kopi bar and Pastel bakes for Café; Brick, Olive and Navy for Tavern. Pick one under Colour. Under Headline, write one line for the top of your website and press Save; leave it empty and your shop description is used. On Café, put one word between stars to show it in italics in your colour, like Brunch all day. *Dinner* worth staying for. Café can also show a small word beside your name in the top bar (like "Café · Bistro"), a few short points under the buttons, your opening hours as a table under Visit us, and a dark footer with where to find you. Type your hours one line a day, like "Tuesday: 8am to 10pm" or "Monday: Closed": both templates then show "Open now until 10pm" or "Closed today" at the top, and today's hours in bold at the bottom. If you take table bookings, a "Three ways to eat with us" band shows ordering, booking and ordering at the table.

Under The menu and booking pages you can add a few words at the top of the menu, a line under each menu section (one per line, like "Tapas: Small plates to share"), and the title of the booking page. The "Popular" tag on a dish is the label you set on it in Menu and recipes › Edit item; the Vegetarian, Gluten-free and Spicy tags are ticked under each dish on Menu and recipes. If your shop has a phone number or email, the booking page offers a button for bigger groups that opens a message to you.

Your three bestsellers are starred on Menu and recipes. Your banner photo, story, FAQ and social links are set on Business and payments, and pickup, delivery and the minimum order on Pickup and delivery.

Minimum order and free delivery

  1. On Pickup and delivery, under Minimum order and free delivery, type a Minimum order (S$), a Free delivery from (S$), or both. Leave a box empty for none.

  2. Press Save. A customer below the minimum is asked to add a little more before checkout, and delivery costs nothing once the items reach your amount.

Preview it, then switch it on

  1. Press Preview at the top to open your website as a customer will see it.

  2. When you are happy, press Use the new website. Your usual link now opens it, and your emails use its colour.

  3. Changed your mind? Press Go back to the old page. Your old shop page and colour come back.

Use your own domain

Your website can run on your own domain, like yourbakery.sg. Email [email protected] with the domain. You keep it with whoever you bought it from; we tell you the one setting to add there and connect it on our side. Your website, checkout and order pages then run on it. Emails to your customers still come from SME AI Office in your business name, and replies go to the email in your shop settings.

Questions

Does changing the template change my menu or orders?

No. The template is only the look. Your menu, orders, prices and settings stay exactly as they are.

Can I have a different template for checkout?

No. Checkout, the order page, reviews and receipts always follow your website’s template and colour, so the whole journey looks like one business.
