Your website

Give your centre its own website. Your classes, days and times, classrooms, teachers, terms and fees come from the Learning Centre by themselves. You add the words and photos around them, preview it, and switch it on. Parents can then book a free trial lesson, enrol for the term and pay by PayNow, and sign in to see their children.

Pick a colour

1. In the Learning Centre sidebar, under Fees and settings, open Website.

2. Under Colour, press Preview ↗ on Blue, Green or Red to see your own site in it, then press Use this on the one you like. You can change it any time.

Fill in your page

Under Your page, section by section, each section says On your website or Hidden until filled in. A section you have not filled in is simply left off, so nothing ever shows empty. Press Save under a section after typing.

• Top of the page: a small line like “P1 to P6 · English · Maths · Science”, your big line, a sentence or two, a photo (or a short silent film), and up to four numbers like “8 · children a class, never more”.

• Programmes: up to three cards, one per stage, each with a photo, a price line and the word that finds its classes, like P1, P2.

• Your levels: up to seven steps a child climbs, bottom to top. The colours are set; you write the names and what a child can do at each.

• How a term works is written for you from Settings: the free trial, joining mid-term and your make-ups. Beside it, one of your classes shows its fee worked out for today.

• This week shows the next few days of your timetable, with the seats left in each class. Days you are closed and school holidays between terms are left out.

• Results and parents’ words: up to three numbers and three quotes.

• Safe hands: up to four points, one per line, like Checked teachers | Police-checked and first-aid trained.

• Holiday camps: up to three cards with an Ask about it button that opens a message to you. Camps are not booked on the website.

• Find us: your address, how to get there, your hours (Tue to Fri | 2pm to 8.30pm, one per line) and two photos. Your classrooms are listed from Classrooms.

• Questions: leave empty to use ours, written from your rules, or write your own, one per line: Question | Answer.

For a photo, press Upload a photo (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB), or Use one of ours until you have your own. A film can be MP4, up to 25 MB.

The free trial lesson

It is on unless you switch it off: under Free trial lesson, press Stop offering free trials. With it on, a parent picks a class and one of its next lessons, and gives their child’s name and their own. The child is on that lesson’s register marked Free trial, the parent gets the booking by email, and the family is saved in your contacts. One free trial per child per class.

Preview, then switch it on

1. Press Preview with my details ↗. Your whole website opens in a new tab with a Preview bar on top. Only people with that link see it.

2. When you are happy, press Switch the website on and confirm. Your website is at smeaio.com/s/yourname/learn.

3. To take it down, press Switch the website off. Nothing you wrote is lost.

What parents can do

• Classes and fees lists every class with its day, time, classroom, teacher, seats left and the fee for the lessons left this term. They can filter by level and day, or search.

• Enrol shows every lesson date in the term, with the ones already gone crossed out, and the fee. After their details, a seat is saved in every lesson left and they can pay straight away by PayNow, or later from the email. It is the same enrolment as one you make on Students, and you confirm the money the same way.

• Parent login: they sign in with a code sent to their email and see each child’s next lesson, lessons left, make-ups left and fee, with a Pay button if it is still due.
